Two laps to settle the Russian Defence

The Russian fund Hermitage on Saturday signed a letter of intent to build two skyscrapers in the district of La Defense near Paris, an investment of nearly 2 billion euros during the visit to Russia by French President Nicolas Sarkozy .

This document has been signed with the President of the Etablissement Public d'Aménagement de la Défense (EPAD) Joëlle Ceccaldi-Raynaud, MP and mayor (UMP, right) Puteaux, and the Director General of EPAD Philippe Chaix.

This project, called Hermitage Plaza, plans to construct in Courbevoie (Hauts-de-Seine) in the Seine two towers with a height of 320 m designed by British architect Norman Foster, known in France for having designed the viaduct Millau (South).The skyscraper will house dwellings, offices and shops.

The announcement comes a month after the brackets of another real estate project, the Signal tower designed by French architect Jean Nouvel, lack of investors.

Chaix says, this project should receive a building permit in spring 2011 and be completed in 2016.

Under the draft Greater Paris, a vast development project of the Ile-de-France, the French government wants to make Defence a global financial city. In addition to the Hermitage Plaza project, other projects are towers of Defense announced during the next five years.
